Throughout the year, Coach Cruz collects sneakers, cleats, sports apparel, and various sports equipment to bring to youth and young adults in different countries in serious need. While at these locations, Coach Cruz visits schools, organizations, small villages and advocates the importance of living a life-long physically active and healthy lifestyle.
Colombia
Coach Cruz recently visited Colombia and spent time with youth heavily interested in Soccer. Throughout his time there, Coach Cruz was able to provide over 100 pairs of cleats, shirts, jerseys, shorts, shin guards, and soccer balls to the amazing kids in Cali, Colombia. We appreciate all the support from Coventry Soccer Association and others associated with Achievement First Schools for the equipment donations to make this trip a true success.
Haiti & Dominican Republic
Coach Cruz teamed up with @Empowerthroughplay last Spring and spent traveling throughout the Dominican Republic and Haiti with an amazing group of individuals with a similar task of providing joy and empowerment to the youth and young adults we encountered along the way. Throughout the trip, the team visited small organizations like the YWCA of Haiti, local schools, and other various locations in efforts to provide youth sneakers, cleats, sports equipment, and an unforgettable time interacting through sports and fun activities.
